National Quality Framework

From 1st January 2012, NOOSH has been participating in the National Quality Framework (NQF). The NQF is a national legislative framework that consists of the Education and Care Services National Law and Education and Care Services National Regulations. Our Quality Improvement Plan will be based on these regulations which include the National Standards & school aged framework: My Time Our Place.

The NQF aims to give all Australian children, regardless of their location, the best possible start in life through high quality early childhood education and care and school age care services. The Framework aims to help providers, like NOOSH, improve their services in the areas that impact on a child’s development and empower families to make informed choices about which service is best for their child.

A.C.E.C.Q.A. (Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority) will be responsible for the guiding of the National Quality Framework at the National level. This process aims to ensure all services are meeting satisfactory standards of care. We will be assessed according to the National Quality Standards, consisting of 7 Quality Areas.
