Our Programs

Program
At NOOSH, we aim to create a creative and safe learning environment which focuses on play-based learning. We seek first to listen to the children – to their story, background and interests and use this to aid in their interaction with the world and their environment, with the goal of helping to create thoughtful members of our community. Through both structured and independent play, we prioritise the child’s social and emotional well-being as they grow and develop interpersonal skills. By basing our curriculum on the My Time Our Place framework, we strive to meet the developmental needs of all children at NOOSH, as evidenced by the implementation of our programming cycle. Our program focuses on weekly themes with the intention of promoting inclusion, diversity and sustainability, whilst affirming their spontaneity. (Rachel, Educational Leader)
Junior Program
NOOSH’s junior program offers K-3 students a range of varied experiences that aim to facilitate a safe, fun and inclusive environment each day. The program sees children engage in a wide range of activities such as craft creations, science investigations, baking, sports games and so much more, all with one of our passionate educators guiding each step of the way. The program is established through the ‘My Time, Our Place’ Learning Framework, capturing a child led environment where each student is the master of their own destiny. Each program not only aims to create a sense of fun for all children, but it also delivers many educational benefits, whether through developing important life skills or deepening understanding of all elements of society and culture. At NOOSH, we continuously reflect on each programmed activity, gathering feedback from students, staff and parents, in order to ensure we are capturing the desires of all. The junior program is an integral pillar of our service at NOOSH and continues to be one of the most popular elements of each session.
Senior Program
The senior program is a more advanced program that caters to children’s interests and needs. It acknowledges the students’ individual needs, independence and inquisitive nature in exploring their surroundings. We aim to provide an extra fun activity each week for the children to engage with whether it be laser tag, making sherbet or even making our own scrunchies. We also acknowledge the importance of a child led program and program based of the My Time Our Place learning framework. We take children and parental feedback on to help craft our program and this is one of the reasons we have a weekly Dungeons and Dragons game. The Seniors have a special excursion once a term as a reward for positive behaviour where we explore our local area and engage with the community. (Haze- Senior Coordinator)
